What We Do
Our world is inundated with information from experts about any topic you can think of. This includes relational and active listening skills. YouTube, podcasts, books, workshops, you name it, the content is out there. Most of these learning opportunities lack a space and opportunity for experiential practice. There is no opportunity to practice skills in real-time, in a safe environment, and with immediate feedback.
We know from research that only a small percentage of change happens through gaining new information. Most changes in our lives happen when we have opportunities to practice new ways of thinking, feeling, believing, and relating.
But, we can't just learn and practice new skills, the other requirement for change is safety. We need safe opportunities to practice new skills where the stakes are low and when important relationships are not on the line. Learning new skills requires practicing, messing up, and receiving genuine and loving feedback. That is what Relational Peace can provide. We create opportunities to practice new ways of relating to God, others, and self in safe environments.
Relationships matter to us. How we interact with God, others, and ourselves ripples throughout our lives. We don't just need more information to learn, we need to build better relationships.
