Who We Are

Our mission, vision, and beliefs

Following Jesus means knowing His word and following His command in daily practice. I mastered the first part while growing up in a Christian family and culture. I learned how to better implement the ideas as a educator and Counselor. We are living and teaching the Bible as a living document that guides, directs, and enlivens people, families, communities, and nations.

Sweeten Life Systems began in 1975 as a Doctoral Dissertation on the best practices for training lay and professional Counselors to bring health to those in need. We have equipped thousands of people in America and some 80 nations to implement those best practices into their lives and organizations. We are a faith-based organization of men and women dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and groups spiritually, relationally, and physically through equipping those of influence to multiply themselves with the practical skills of living that are missing from our current educational system.

Our motto is:

“Building a lifetime of great relationships.”

Mission

Empowering people with a substantial transfer of knowledge, skills, and healthy relationships to build their capacity for expansion and durability and increase their effectiveness in promoting faith, compassion, and action; break the cycle of poverty, dysfunction, and ineffectiveness.

Vision

An increase in the number and strength of lively, healthy, growing servant leaders expanding God’s truth, love, and gifts to impact others in socially, emotionally, and spiritually responsible ways.

We develop materials that systematically train leaders and evaluate their effectiveness by using a system that focuses on skill development and then assesses with a scale of effectiveness the students’ ability to use the skills. Our materials are published and implemented internationally indicating face validity. We also judge whether our former students can replicate themselves.

The Apostles' Creed

The Apostles’ Creed is a simple form of our theology.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
